Dr. Shanks graduated from Texas A&M University in 2024 and launched her career off at Big Thicket Veterinary Clinic. She enjoys working with large and small animals but has a passion for our large animals and exotic patients. She enjoys the unique personalities of alpacas, llamas, and cats and loves the diversity of critters seen here. Dr. Shanks is CPR and Fear Free certified, prioritizing compassionate and stress-free care for her patients. She recently rescued her dog Boyd after seeing him wandering the streets and he now lives the life of hiking and keeping her company while she rides horses.
